January 2013, after my work as an HR Manager in the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland, I decided to become self-employed. First from Switzerland, later from the Netherlands and now from Belgium. Sometimes full-time and sometimes part-time in addition to an employment contract as HR Manager or, as it is called in Belgium, main and secondary profession.
A lot has happened in the past 10 years, good and less good things. SPOT passed away on July 23, 2017, but I sure have not forgotten him. Think fondly of everything we did together and the love he gave. I think there are many people who recognize this
A lot has also changed in terms of business, SPOT Interim & Advies is now SPOT-HR and officially located in Belgium. The working area is now mainly the Netherlands and Belgium and it took some time to become familiar with the differences. We may speak (almost) the same language, but they are 2 completely different countries. Not only the laws and regulations, but especially the culture and corporate cultures.
The fact that SPOT-HR is familiar with both sides of the border is an added value. Business does not stop at the border and there are many people who live in one country and work or want to work in another. And being able to search for potential in 2 countries also opens up new possibilities, especially in a market where it has become increasingly difficult to find good new employees.
